Dr. Kristin S. Black, MD
Medical Director
Dr. Kristin S. Black is board certified in Family Practice and is licensed in the states of North Carolina and South Carolina. She's a graduate of Cornell University (with Human Development and Family Studies degree), received her MD from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City, and studied at Harvard University as an Arthur Ashe Fellow.

Dr. Black completed her residency in Family Practice at Carolinas Medical Center where she won awards for Outstanding Family Practice and Community Service. She has trained extensively in pediatrics, gynecology and internal medicine. During her training as a practicing physician she has also been committed to providing care to the indigent and underserved.

Dr. Black's special interests include Women's Health (including Bioidentical Hormone Replacement), Adolescent Health, Weight Loss and Nutritional Modalities, Diabetic Management and Alternative Medicine. Throughout her school years, residency and employment, Dr. Black has maintained an active role in the communities where she has lived and worked.
Mr. Ricardo Souza Leao
Nurse Practitioner, FNP-BC
Mr. Leao is a practicing Family Nurse Practitioner at New Day Family Practice with several years of experience, board certified and licensed in the States of North and South Carolina. Mr. Leao completed his bachelor's degree in Nursing from Queens University of Charlotte, NC with honors, and subsequently received his Master's in Family Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of South Carolina, SC where he graduated with highest honors. Mr. Leao is also certified by the American Heart Association in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support.

Throughout his career Mr. Leao has become a strong advocate for leadership in family practice and is an active member of the American Nurses Association. Mr. Leao's special interests include cardiovascular disease and diabetes prevention and management, along with public education and wellness. Mr. Leao's talents and investments go beyond health care to his community as well, encompassing initiatives with local churches and carrying for the needy locally and globally
Mrs. Alice M. Dalena
Nurse Practitioner, FNP
Alice is a practicing Family Nurse Practitioner at New Day Family Practice with several years of experience. She is board certified and licensed in the States of North and South Carolina. Alice completed his bachelor's degree in Nursing from Walden University in Minnesota with high honors, and subsequently received her Master's in Family Nurse Practitioner degree with honors from Frontier Nursing University in KY.
She is an active member of the American Nurses Association and North American Menopause Society. Alice’s special interests include Women’s Health and Menopause, along with health and wellness.
She lives in Rock Hill with her spouse and adult daughter. In her free time she enjoys hiking, biking, kayaking, and diamond painting.
